I really liked the comparison of the story of X and the story of Y. I think it realy shows how humans can change so many natural cycles without meaning too.

I think it takes awhile for students (and adults) to grasp how interconnected life is. One of my favorite topics is how photosynthesis and cellular respiration are equal and opposites of each other. They are the yin and yang etc. etc. I have the students get up and move, to demonstrate the cycles and the components. Movement always seems to help.

I liked the "prezi" for that reason. Rather then being a boring linear powerpoint, the presentation moved around and students could follow it. We don't all think in neat straight lines, so I think that would appeal to a variety of learning styles.
