The Plain Green conference brings together international, national and local thought leaders about sustainability to disseminate, cross pollinate, and investigate ideas pertaining to sustainability. Educators should avail themselves of this opportunity to be aware of new trends, information and research in order to better support their teaching.
While educators need exposure to what is new and innovative, they also need to reflect how that pertains what is tried and true.
This professional development opportunity will allow educators the time and space to attend the Plain Green conference and then extend the impact of that conference to their classroom by reviewing two lessons from the Green Education Foundation Sustainability Lesson Clearinghouse in light of what they experienced.
